  • They take full legal responsibility for the content they upload
  • They grant Scholar Eye a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute the document on the platform

Important: Uploading copyrighted material without proper authorization is strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate removal of the document and suspension of the user's account.

What is Allowed on Scholar Eye

Scholar Eye encourages the sharing of knowledge freely and responsibly. The following types of content are welcome on our platform:

  • Documents you have personally created, such as notes, guides, presentations, or templates
  • Materials released under open licenses such as Creative Commons, GNU, or Public Domain
  • Government and public-domain publications that are freely available to the public
  • Academic work such as research papers or theses that you have authored yourself
  • Educational materials created for teaching, training, or informational purposes

What is NOT Allowed

To protect creators and comply with copyright law, the following content is strictly prohibited on Scholar Eye:

  • Scanned or digital copies of published books, textbooks, or magazines without the publisher's permission
  • Paid courses, premium eBooks, or subscription-based content shared without authorization
  • Documents that reproduce large portions of copyrighted text without proper attribution or license
  • Software, applications, or digital products protected by commercial licenses
  • Any content that has been clearly marked as "All Rights Reserved" by its original creator
  • Music sheets, film scripts, or other creative works protected under copyright

How to Report a Copyright Violation

Upon receiving a valid and complete complaint, Scholar Eye will review the document and remove any content found to be in genuine violation of copyright law.

Counter-Notice Policy

If you believe your document was removed from Scholar Eye due to a mistaken or incorrect copyright complaint, you have the right to submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice should include:

  • Your full name and contact information
  • A clear identification of the document that was removed
  • A statement explaining why you believe the removal was a mistake
  • Your confirmation that you consent to the legal jurisdiction of the relevant authorities

Scholar Eye will review all counter-notices fairly and restore content if the complaint is found to be invalid or incorrect.

Repeat Infringers

Scholar Eye has a strict policy against repeat copyright infringers. Any user who repeatedly uploads content that violates copyright law will have their account permanently suspended from the platform.

We reserve the right to take further action against users who intentionally and repeatedly violate intellectual property rights, including reporting them to the appropriate legal authorities if necessary.

Fair Use & Educational Use

Scholar Eye recognizes that certain uses of copyrighted material may be permitted under the principle of fair use — particularly for educational, commentary, research, or non-commercial purposes.
